Life on Mars Cushion - Yellow

from $150.00

From Life on Mars, a photography series by Elyse Jealette interpreting the biosignatures identified by NASA’s Perseverance rover in 2025.

The artwork is inspired by Noctis Labyrinthus, a vast network of deep valleys and inlets located at the western edge of the Valles Marineris canyon system. Its maze-like terrain was formed by tectonic stresses that fractured the Martian crust, creating a dramatic landscape of intersecting chasms.

Created through an experimental process using ferrofluid and magnets, the image reveals a convergence of physics and form. Dark branching structures spread across luminous fields of red and gold, evoking lava plains, cellular formations, and shifting planetary surfaces — an abstract terrain shaped by magnetic fields and plasma dynamics.

Printed on Mayfair Herringbone fabric made in the UK, the fabric has a soft texture with a subtle sheen that enhances the depth of the image while bringing out its rich, vibrant color.

Finished with black piping and gold hardware, this cushion is designed as a collectible artwork and visual statement piece. Each piece includes a luxury feather down insert for ultimate comfort.

  • Original ferrofluid artwork from the Life on Mars series

  • Double-sided print

  • Mayfair Herringbone fabric

  • Black piping finish

  • Gold zipper hardware

  • Luxury feather down insert included

  • Handmade in the UK
