From the photography series Life on Mars by Elyse Jealette, inspired by the biosignatures identified by NASA’s Perseverance rover.
Created using ferrofluid manipulated by magnetic fields, the image reveals branching formations that evoke microbial colonies, mineral deposits, and extraterrestrial terrain. What appears organic emerges from pure physics — a reminder that life itself may arise from the choreography of simple forces.
Minera I and Minera II continue this exploration, tracing the visual parallels between mineral systems and biological structures across planetary environments.
Contained within a circular lens — suggestive of both microscope and telescope — the work offers a fleeting glimpse into the invisible and the distant.
Printed on a premium acrylic panel with a glossy, glass-like finish and stunning depth.
Material: 4mm (0.15") acrylic for a sleek, vibrant, and durable finish.
Durable and scratch-resistant
Includes a signed Certificate of Authenticity (mailed separately).

Support art made for and by humans
Keep It Human is a cultural signal advocating for the preservation of art made for and by humans. Markets and industry practices are shaped by people. As we contend with the rapid acceleration of AI-generated content, we can reclaim authority and ownership by only supporting work that reflects the raw creativity of our organic intelligence. Keep It Human is an evolving philosophy, strategy, and commitment to honoring the integrity of the creative process — inseparable from the art itself, and ultimately irreplaceable.

About
Elyse Jealette is a multidisciplinary artist and founder of Elysian Frontiers.
Based in Los Angeles, she first stumbled upon the world of alternative photography after taking a black and white film photography course at the School of Light in downtown. Studying under the mentorship of Andrew Hall, she explored an array of techniques working with ferrofluids, lumens, and photograms….
