Amoeba II (Life on Mars) Ferrofluid Acrylic Panel

from $200.00

From the photography series Life on Mars by Elyse Jealette, inspired by NASA’s recent discovery of bio-signatures on Mars.

In Amoeba I & II, fluid networks stretch across like biological pathways or subterranean river systems. Created through an experimental process using ferrofluid and magnets, the photograph captures the intricate equilibrium between order and chaos.

The image recalls the structures of microbial colonies, neural networks, and extraterrestrial life yet to be discovered. Rich reds, pinks, and volcanic tones evoke a distant mineral landscape that branch out beyond human perception. What other forms of life could be emerging beneath the surface?

Contained within a circular lens, as if looking through a microscope or telescope, it offers a brief glimpse into the invisible and the distant. This set reflects patterns that repeat across scales: from the microscopic to the planetary, from chemical reaction to cosmic formation.

Printed on an acrylic panel with a glossy, glass-like finish and stunning depth.

  • Material: 4mm (0.15") acrylic for a sleek, vibrant, and durable finish.
  • Design: Straight-cut corners for a modern look. Transparent backgrounds default to white for optimal presentation.
  • Durable and scratch-resistant
  • Sold individually or as a set
Includes a signed Certificate of Authenticity (mailed separately).
